The spark that started it

Pictured here is me with my film journals. Film has forever been a way to escape the world and travel through a whole other universe for me. I started writing down every single film that I watched way back in 2009 - 13 years strong this year with 4000+ films documented! Film has always been a part of who I am as well as my love for exploring new places. From my first steps to my first word, there was also the first film I watched - the latter being more important than I would ever know! I saw myself in movie characters (Wall.e, I’m looking at you), stories, scripts, and I just loved getting lost in that world of wonder and escapism. The location aspect is one tiny shard of what makes this adventure so special for me, it’s so much more than a place or a building, it’s about the experience and about reliving the memories that made us all fall in love with moving pictures in the first place.

While studying Film & TV at Brunel University, I delved deep into the realms of what makes film, film. I learnt so much more about the medium and enjoyed every single second of it. I had started visiting film locations, attending premieres to meet my favourite stars, and watching films on the daily long before Sixth Form & University. One thing led to another and as the passion of film & photography became more and more engrained in my day-to-day life, I simply continued the hobby and now here we are in 2022. I like to think that my 5-year-old self would be smiling up at me going, ‘Wow, look at what I’ll do one day…’ Many years later and this whole expansive, creative, magical world of film still excites me every single day and that will never, ever stop.

To Infinity… and beyond!

Little did I know how much this little space on the internet would grow. Social media has its negatives but don’t be fooled - its positives are incredible as well! The fact that I’m writing this amazes me because it means I kept going and I never stopped talking, exploring, and sharing about the world that I love. I never thought I’d be able to do something like this and gather attention from studios + my favourite directors and actors alike, it’s all so surreal! Every partnership + collaboration has pushed me forward and I couldn’t be more grateful. So, if you’re reading this, thanks for coming along and thanks for always making sure I step through film with all the might and passion I have inside me. Thank you so much to all of you.
